Problem The design of this 70 acre park dealt primarily with reclaiming contaminated ground through complex processes of remediating soil and water. The desolate and industrial nature of the site also demanded a solution that would reconcile this type of urban space with the public psyche.
Solution In what might otherwise be a wasteland, the desire to attract people to the site required hyper-programming. The variety of spaces are woven together so as to facilitate multiple uses, whereby remediation becomes part of the park's going experience.
